This reminded me of Rick and now I know why! Very lovely colors. Spirals are one of my favorite things. I'm not an expert of art but if I were creating this I would perhaps want a focal point or more design to the whole piece. That's just my extremely uneducated opinion and you did ask for a critique. I really think it is beautiful though.
